I knew this game would be interesting seeing as how the History Channel was making it, and how many Civil War First Person shooters do you get to play? Not many. I have to say I enjoyed the game and didn?t feel cheated. In fact I decided to keep it from GameFly. My Grandfather is really into the Civil war and collects autographs and researches the person and their involvement during and after the war. So to me the game brings a cross over in interests. It mixes a small amount of history into a FPS and gives you a feeling of being in the war. For a first crack at a game it?s a good job. One thing about its historical accuracy is how crappy the weapons of the time where. I would almost prefer a bow and arrow to a musket, better accuracy, faster reload and silent.

I have to give props to the people in the civil war who had sniper accuracy with a musket. You know when you think about it the civil war was in many ways not to different then playing a PSP, incredible long load times, just to get one shot that missed it?s target most of the time? oh yeah? did I mention the guns jamming? In the end some times you have to go old school pull out the trusty Nintendo sword and just hack some fools to pieces like a cheerleader in a slasher flix. I like this game and it?s worth a play. Keep in mind it?s just a new take on the old FPS games, so don?t expect the earth to open up, a second coming or Sony to tell the truth? it?s not happening with this game.
